Due to the number of speakers and our packed agenda, it’s important that we have your talks uploaded by Noon Tue Sep 20th to minimize transition time between talks. Please also upload posters by this time. All talks and posters (unless otherwise requested) will be circulated to our team and other attendees after the meeting.

PRESENTATION GUIDANCE
- Session Chairs will provide 10-min Overview Talks pertaining to their session. (Session Chairs will also help facilitate their plenary discussions and ensure that speakers keep within their allotted time.) Overview Talks should focus on “Where are we now and where do we need to be by end of Phase I”, and address the following:
- Review Overarching Objective Goals
- Highlight current status: Summarize Key advances/findings to date
- Review upcoming milestones/tasks/priorities for Phase I, and gaps (e.g., model development/testing, data synthesis, field measurement activities), challenges, tasks that need coordination with other Objectives.
- Be specific: What are the specific papers, code development, data synthesis products, and other deliverables tied Objective milestones that need to be accomplished by Phase I to position us for Phase 2 renewal.
- Plenary Speakers will provide 10-min Plenary Talks that focus on Exciting Science Results, and should address the following. (The latter 2 bullets can serve as a basis for further discussion during the plenary and/or breakouts).
- Rationale for study and how it fits into NGEE-T Phase I goals
- Who are you working/collaborating with (within team and/or external/international folks, if applicable)
- Exciting Results (including figures)
- Interpretation of Results, Conclusions
- Next Steps, outcomes, including development of specific papers, code, data synthesis products, or other deliverables that advance NGEE-Tropics Phase I goals
- What are the needs/challenges/gaps/issues that need addressing? (including model, data, field)
- Opportunities for cross-team/pilot/external collaboration (can mention here for plenary/networking/breakout discussion)
- Poster Presenters are welcome to share exciting science results, work plans, experimental designs, protocols, etc.
- ESA posters are also welcome, if closely aligned with NGEE-Tropics.
- Poster printing: Plan to print out your poster at your home institution, and make arrangements as to how your poster will make it to DC (i.e., carry on plane or send by mail).
- Mailing your poster: If you choose to send by mail, please allow for sufficient delivery time. It would be best to send your poster to your hotel, ATTN: your name, with your expected check-in date – do not send it to Ripley Center (meeting venue).
- Poster boards: Each presenter will have a 4′ tall x 8′ wide poster board. On Day 1 of the meeting, please hang your poster between 7-8AM to allow attendees to view the posters throughout the day. (Thumbtacks will be provided.) The poster session is scheduled to start at 4pm on Day 1.
