NGEE-Tropics Acknowledgment
In order to properly attribute support of NGEE-Tropics research from the Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER), in general, and NGEE-Tropics, specifically, that support needs to be explicitly acknowledged in publications, presentations, press releases, and other similar documents.
For a presentation
“This research was supported as part of the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiments-Tropics, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Biological and Environmental Research.”
For a publication
- For work wholly supported by NGEE-Tropics: “This research was supported as part of the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiments-Tropics, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Biological and Environmental Research.” (If you are a DOE national lab, please also add your Award Number.)
- For work partially supported by NGEE-Tropics: The acknowledgment should state who was supported by which sponsor (“E.R.J. was supported as part of…..”), or acknowledge what aspect of the research (materials or processing used, or specific techniques) was supported and by which sponsor (“Sapflow studies were supported as part of…”)

For a press release or similar document:
